A Life of Looking Closely

Ken originally pursued industrial design before shifting into photography and ultimately earning a Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking from Ohio University in 1971. Though his career path changed, his fascination with the design and beauty of everyday life never left him. From simple objects to vast landscapes, he has always found joy in observing what many overlook.

Why This Book Exists

Ken wrote much of this book in his mid-forties, driven by a desire to help others rediscover the joy of seeing. Now, years later, he shares it with renewed enthusiasm—believing that in today’s distracted world, this message matters more than ever. “I draw and paint often, but I look and marvel at our world every day.”
